SKKU-Fordham Summer Institute of International Law
Bridging Cultures
One of SKKU Law School's most popular international programs is the Summer Institute of International Law co-sponsored since 2006, by Fordham Law School. SKKU-Fordham Summer School is a concentrated three-week program approved by the American Bar Association. The program has invited over 800 students from 60 law schools over five countries since its inauguration. The Institute is concurrently open to SKKU law students.
Students can enroll in one of several three-credit courses in international and comparative law subjects traditionally taught by distinguished faculty from Fordham, Columbia University, University of Washington, and University of Virginia, such as International Commercial Arbitration, International Business Transactions, and Corporative Governance.
Classroom instruction is supplemented by field trips to legal institutions and cultural sites. Students may additionally apply for either credit or non-credit internships with Korean multinational corporations, law firms, the Constitutional Court, lower courts, prosecutor's office; government offices, or human rights organizations after the program.
