On September 27, 2021, at 11:00 p.m., the Hyocheon Scholarship Delivery Ceremony for the second semester of the 2021 academic year was held at the Law Hall No. 201 (Kim Young-so Memorial Hall), where scholarships were delivered to outstanding law school master's students (hereinafter referred to as the Law School).
The event was attended by the President of the Hyocheon Chokyu Academic Society, Cho Kyu Hak (Chemistry Department, 57), who presented the scholarship fund, and personally awarded the scholarship certificate. President Cho Kyu-hak has not only contributed a lot to the industrial and economic development of our country by establishing Hansung Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., but he has also made a great contribution with an interest in the development of his alma mater and the education of his juniors, such as contributing to the construction of the Chemical Museum of our country and providing scholarships every semester. At our university, law school professors, including Dean Kim Il-hwan, attended and thanked the scholars and offered words of congratulations and encouragement.
The Hyocheon Scholarship awarded on this day is based on the scholarship funds that Cho Kyu Hak alumni have made to support the development of their alma mater's law school and to encourage the study of law school students who dream of becoming a just legal profession, and since the opening of the law school (2009), it has been paid 5 million won per semester (10 million won per year per person) to 2-3 students every year, and the total number of Hyocheon scholarships awarded to our law school students so far has reached 300 million won. The scholars who were honored with the Hyocheon Scholarship on this day were Kim Yong (11th) and Kim Myung-eun (12th).
President Cho Kyu-hak encouraged the beneficiary students not to neglect their efforts that there is no success without sweating, referring to the word "infinite invincibility," and Dean Kim Il-hwan asked them to be role models as a lawyer from the natural sciences and engineering community.
The two students who received the scholarships thanked them for their commitment to becoming wise lawyers without being frustrated in the face of hard work.
