SKKU College of Social Sciences & Law School concludes Dual-degree Agreement with Nagoya University

January 17th, SKKU Law Schooland College of Social Sciences
concluded an agreement to establish dual-degree program with Nagoya University
School of Law and Politics at CALE located in Nagoya University. Prof. Hee Ok
LEE (Political Science), Prof. Chul KWON (Law School) and Senior Researcher Il
Hyun RYU joined the agreement ceremony.
With
the conclusion of this agreement, a dual-degree program will be established for
graduate students from two universities. They have agreed to acknowledge credit
exchange and students who have been selected for the dual-degree program can
obtain two separate degrees within two years.
After
the ceremony, they went on a campus tour around Nagoya University and also held
a meeting with SKKU students who had been sent to Nagoya University under the
CAMPUS Asia scholarship program.
CAMPUS Asia program is a trilateral exchange program among universities in Korea, China and Japan. It was first launched as a demonstrative government sponsored program in 2011 and switched into an official program in late 2016. SKKU Law School and College of Social Sciences are the supervising schools in Korea and they have organized a “Law-Social Science Enterprise Organization” along with Seoul National University, Renmin University, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Nagoya University to join this program since 2011. Currently the organization has sent/received 7th round of students and students are enrolled in Law/Political Science curriculum at the partner universities. Many of the participants have advanced into prestigious Law Schools in Korea and works at major Law firms, diplomatic academy and global firms.
